Tinkering with the Raspberry Pi

This isn't set at all yet but I do have some thoughts about tinkering with the raspberry pi.
Mr. Perkins has an ecosystem going on in his room. It would be nice if we could measure as much as possible with the water (temp, pH) and the soil (pH) and then have a continuous feed graphing the data on his website. How cool would that be?

We could also do something similar with the solar panels on our roof. We can measure the output of our solar energy and then set up a website to graph and store the data. Kind of like this.
